The Neshoba Central Rockets softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Northwest Rankin Cougars to 4 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Neshoba Central moves its record to 14-2 on the year. The Rockets travel to Canton (Canton, MS) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region 3 game on Thursday, March 30. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 0-1.
In their next game, the Cougars play the Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS) in a 6A Region 6 game, on Thursday, March 30. Northwest Rankin will attempt to move on its 15-2 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 10-8 record after their 1-0 non-league win over West Harrison (Gulfport, MS).
