Texas High School Softball - Odem can't get by Taft

In Tuesday's league contest, the Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) softball team held off the visiting Odem Owls (Odem, TX), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, Taft moves its record to 15-6 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Mathis (Mathis, TX) to play the Pirates in a 3A Region IV District 29 contest on Friday, March 31. The Pirates come into the contest with a record of 15-9. Mathis lost 3-2 in their recent league contest against Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX)

In their next game, the Owls play the George West Longhorns (George West, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 contest, on Friday, March 31. Odem will attempt to move on its 11-13 season record. The Longhorns come into the contest with a 5-12 record after their 16-6 league loss to Goliad (Goliad, TX).
