The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) and the host Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC), saw Tuscola's softball squad nip Pisgah by a count of 7-6.

The Mountaineers now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Smoky Mountain for a Mountain Seven 3A match on Friday, March 31.

With the loss, Pisgah falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Bears host T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC) to face the Rams in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 29. The Rams enter the match with a record of 3-5. T.C. Roberson lost 7-6 in their recent league match against Erwin (Asheville, NC)
