Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Fighting Scots now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host South View for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 30. Scotland will face a Tigers squad coming off a 33-1 league win over Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Richmond falls to 8-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to face the Cavaliers in a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge on Friday, March 31. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Southern Lee lost 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Lee County (Sanford, NC)
