The Burlington Wildcats crushed the visiting Iola Mustangs baseball team by a count of 14-7 in Thursday's league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Wellsville for a Pioneer bout on Tuesday, April 2. Burlington will face a Eagles team coming off a 5-4 league loss to Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.
Next, the Mustangs face the Chanute Blue Comets (Chanute, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 29. Iola will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Blue Comets enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS).
