Texas High School Baseball - Spurger loses to Evadale

The Spurger Pirates baseball team (Spurger, TX), was overwhelmed 15-0 in Thursday's league outing with the host Evadale Rebels (Evadale, TX)

The Rebels now hold a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Big Sandy for a 2A Region IV District 25 outing on Tuesday, April 2. Evadale will face a Wildcats team coming off a 16-0 league win over Hull-Daisetta (Daisetta, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-7.

Next, the Pirates face the High Island Cardinals (High Island, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 25 outing, on Monday, April 1. Spurger will attempt to advance on its 0-9 season record. The Cardinals enter the outing with a 1-5 record after their 6-4 league loss to West Hardin (Saratoga, TX).
