North Carolina High School Baseball - Watauga wallops Freedom

Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), saw Watauga's baseball squad beat Freedom by a margin of 16-6.

Coming up next, the Pioneers play the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, April 9. Watauga will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record.

The Patriots now sport a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashe County for a Northwestern 3A/4A battle on Friday, March 29. Freedom will play a Huskies squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 7-5.
