Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY) and the visiting McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY), saw Hancock County's baseball squad beat McLean County by a margin of 9-4.

Coming up next, the Hornets play the Owensboro Catholic Aces (Owensboro, KY) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 8. Hancock County will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record.

The Cougars now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to McKenzie for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 30.
