The West Wilkes Blackhawks baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting North Surry Greyhounds to 5 in the Blackhawks league victory on Thursday.
The Blackhawks (6-5) will now prepare for their match against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles go into the Foothills 2A match with a 7-5 record.
The Greyhounds (5-5) will now prepare for their match against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles go into the Foothills 2A match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, Wilkes Central tipped North Wilkes (Hays, NC), 12-2, in a league match.
