North Carolina High School Baseball - North Wilkes loses to Wilkes Central

The Wilkes Central Eagles crushed the visiting North Wilkes Vikings baseball team by a count of 12-2 in Thursday's league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Surry for a Foothills 2A bout on Tuesday, April 2. Wilkes Central will face a Greyhounds team coming off a 9-5 league loss to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 5-5.

Next, the Vikings face the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 1. North Wilkes will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 0-12 record after their 1-0 league loss to East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC).
