Mid-Carolina Rebels (Prosperity, SC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Newberry Bulldogs (Newberry, SC), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Rebels confront the Abbeville Panthers (Abbeville, SC) in a AA Region 2 challenge, on Monday, April 8. Mid-Carolina will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record.

The Bulldogs now have a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Emerald for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Newberry will confront a Vikings team coming off a 6-1 league win over Clinton (Clinton, SC). The Vikings record now stands at 6-3.
