North Carolina High School Softball - Ashe County topped by South Caldwell

March 28, 2024: West Jefferson, NC 28694

In Thursday's non-league contest, the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), by a margin of 12-3.

With the triumph, South Caldwell moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Spartans host North Davidson (Lexington, NC) to play the Black Knights in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 6. The Black Knights come into the contest with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Huskies play the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 9. Ashe County will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record.
