The crowd at Thursday's league match between the La Mirada Matadores (La Mirada, CA) and the host Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA), saw La Mirada's softball squad nip Mayfair by a count of 9-2.

The Matadores now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Downey for a match on Thursday, April 11.

With the loss, Mayfair falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Monsoons travel to Katella (Anaheim, CA) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Saturday, March 30. The Knights enter the match with a record of 0-1. Katella lost 31-1 in their recent non-league test against Fullerton (Fullerton, CA)
