Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Penn Kingsmen (Mishawaka, IN), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Lowell for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 1.
With the loss, Penn falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Kingsmen host South Central (Union Mills, IN) to battle the Satellites in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. The Satellites enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
