Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Golden Bears now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host East Fairmont for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29.

With the loss, Wheeling Park falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV) to battle the Monarchs in a challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Monarchs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
