The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) and the host Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA), saw Carroll County's soccer squad knock off Alleghany by a margin of 5-2.

The Cavaliers now sport a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Glenvar for a Three Rivers test on Tuesday, April 2. Carroll County will meet a Highlanders squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Alleghany drops to 1-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to James River (Buchanan, VA) to meet the Knights in a Three Rivers test on Wednesday, April 3. The Knights come into the test with a record of 1-3. James River lost 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Northside (Roanoke, VA)
