The Berry Wildcats (Berry, AL) softball nipped the visiting Fayette County Tigers (Fayette, AL), 12-11 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats (7-9) will now prepare for their bout against South Lamar (Millport, AL). The Stallions go into the 1A Area 8 bout with a 3-6 record. In their last bout, South Lamar was edged by Sulligent (Sulligent, AL), 6-4, in a non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 9-7 record. They play next when they host South Lamar for a non-league bout on Monday, April 1. Fayette County will confront a Stallions squad coming off a 6-4 non-league loss to Sulligent (Sulligent, AL). The Stallions record now stands at 3-6.
