Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) and the host Breathitt County Bobcats (Jackson, KY), witnessed Estill County's softball squad prevail over Breathitt County by a count of 17-4.

The Engineers now sport a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Rowan County for a non-league match on Friday, March 29. Estill County will face a Vikings squad coming off a 5-3 league win over Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY). The Vikings record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Breathitt County moves to 6-3 on the season. The Bobcats host Tates Creek (Lexington, KY) to face the Commodores in a non-league match on Saturday, March 30. The Commodores go into the match with a record of 4-7. Tates Creek won 8-3 in their recent non-league match against Pendleton County (Falmouth, KY)
