Bridge City Cardinals (Bridge City, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 19-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Little Cypress-Mauriceville for a 4A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Bridge City will battle a Bears squad coming off a 16-6 league win over Silsbee (Silsbee, TX). The Bears record now stands at 19-6.

With the loss, Silsbee falls to 14-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host Vidor (Vidor, TX) to battle the Pirates in a 4A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 6-6.
