Gaffney Indians (Gaffney, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC), 22-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to James F. Byrnes for a AAAAA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Gaffney will face a Rebels squad coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Hillcrest (Simpsonville, SC). The Rebels record now stands at 15-2.

With the loss, Broome falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Centurions travel to Woodruff (Woodruff, SC) to face the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Woodruff won 10-1 in their recent league challenge against Chester (Chester, SC)
