West Virginia High School Softball - Fairmont Senior falls to Buckhannon-Upshur

In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers softball team scored a nice 17-1 win over the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears.

Coming up next, the Buccaneers encounter the Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 29. Buckhannon-Upshur will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 12-4 league loss to Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV).

With the loss, Fairmont Senior falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Polar bears host Roane County (Spencer, WV) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 7-0. Roane County won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Ripley (Ripley, WV)
