San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clemens Buffaloes (Schertz, TX), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Rattlers now sport a 10-14 record. They take the field next when they host Steele for a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. San Marcos will face a Knights squad coming off a 9-8 league win over New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The Knights record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Clemens falls to 21-3 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Judson (Converse, TX) to face the Rockets in a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 8-17.
