Des Arc Eagles (Des Arc, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hazen Hornets (Hazen, AR), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bald Knob for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29. Des Arc will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-4 non-league loss to McCrory (McCrory, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Hazen falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to McCrory (McCrory, AR) to face the Jaguars in a 2A Region 6 challenge on Friday, March 29. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 7-3.
