Rison Wildcats (Rison, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Drew Central Pirates (Monticello, AR), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Gurdon for a 2A Region 8 challenge on Monday, April 1. Rison will battle a Go-Devils squad coming off a 19-1 league win over Fordyce (Fordyce, AR). The Go-Devils record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Drew Central falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host DeWitt (DeWitt, AR) to battle the Dragons in a 3A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 4-2.
