The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) and the host East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC), saw Maiden's softball squad achieve victory over East Burke by a count of 12-3.

The Blue Devils now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Lincoln for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A match on Tuesday, April 9.

With the loss, East Burke falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Patton (Morganton, NC) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Friday, April 5. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 5-6. Patton won 5-1 in their recent league match against Chase (Forest City, NC)
