Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 23-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pflugerville for a 5A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Georgetown will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Bastrop (Bastrop, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 4-16.

With the loss, Pflugerville Connally falls to 7-20 on the campaign. The Cougars host Elgin (Elgin, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a 5A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 14-7. Elgin won 8-2 in their recent league challenge against East View (Georgetown, TX)
