Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (Hamshire, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host West Fork Gators (Kingwood, TX), 16-2 in a league challenge.

The Longhorns now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they host Liberty for a 4A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Hamshire-Fannett will face a Panthers squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Hargrave (Huffman, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 25-1.

With the loss, West Fork falls to 1-14 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Livingston (Livingston, TX) to face the Lions in a 4A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 13-9. Livingston won 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX)
