The Laughlin Cougars routed the visiting Sandy Valley Sidewinders softball squad by a count of 15-0 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against Needles (Needles, CA). The Mustangs go into the 2A- Southern battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Needles topped Lincoln County (Panaca, NV), 11-3, in a league battle.

The Sidewinders now sport a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to GV Christian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 2. Sandy Valley will meet a Guardians squad coming off a 20-0 league loss to White Pine (Ely, NV). The Guardians record now stands at 0-6.
