Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) and the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC), witnessed North Surry's softball squad prevail over Mount Airy by a count of 11-0.

The Greyhounds now sport a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Forbush for a Foothills 2A match on Friday, March 29. North Surry will face a Falcons squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Mount Airy moves to 0-9 on the season. The Granite bears travel to Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to face the Trojans in a Northwest 1A match on Tuesday, April 2. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 1-8. Alleghany lost 18-1 in their recent league match against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
