North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now sport a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brookhaven for a 5A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. North Pike will face a Panthers squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Florence (Florence, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, South Jones falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Florence (Florence, MS) to face the Eagles in a 5A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 12-6. Florence won 13-6 in their recent league challenge against Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS)
