Illinois High School Softball - Wilmington bounces Reed-Custer

The Wilmington Wildcats routed the visiting Reed-Custer Comets softball squad by a final score of 17-7 in Thursday's league battle.

The Wildcats (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers go into the Illinois Central Eight battle with a 9-0 record. In their last battle, Manteno notched a victory over Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL), 14-2, in a non-league battle.

The Comets now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Ottawa for a non-league battle on Friday, March 29. Reed-Custer will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Somonauk (Somonauk, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 5-2.
