The crowd at Friday's league battle between the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) and the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), saw North Stanly's baseball team beat Albemarle by a margin of 16-1.

The Comets (12-0) will now prepare for their battle against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the Yadkin Valley 1A/2A battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, South Stanly was overwhelmed by Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 9-7, in a league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A battle, on Tuesday, April 1. Albemarle will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Cardinals enter the battle with a 4-7 record after their 12-2 league win over Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC).
