Texas High School Baseball - Amarillo wallops Caprock

The Amarillo Sandies baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Caprock Longhorns to 0 in the Sandies league win on Friday.

The Sandies now hold a 14-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lubbock for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 1. Amarillo will play a Westerners team coming off a 4-2 league win over Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Westerners record now stands at 14-6.

With the defeat, Caprock drops to 0-19 on the year. The Longhorns host Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to play the Pirates in a 5A Region I District 3 test on Tuesday, April 1. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 13-9.
