California High School Baseball - Downey defeats Bellflower

March 28, 2025: Downey, CA 90241

The Downey Vikings baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Bellflower Buccaneers to 7 in the Vikings league win on Friday.

The Vikings now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Mirada for a Gateway test on Tuesday, April 1. Downey will clash with a Matadores team coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Corona (Corona, CA). The Matadores record now stands at 10-2.

With the defeat, Bellflower drops to 4-10 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA) to clash with the Mariners in a non-league test on Monday, March 31. The Mariners go into the test with a record of 6-5. Mar Vista won 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Kearny (San Diego, CA)
