In Friday's league game, the host Pike County Bulldogs baseball team scored a nice 14-4 win over the Bullock County Hornets.
The Bulldogs (5-10) will now prepare for their game against Abbeville (Abbeville, AL). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league game with a 0-9 record. In their last game, Abbeville was overwhelmed by Ariton (Ariton, AL), 16-0, in a league game.
Next, the Hornets play the New Brockton Gamecocks (New Brockton, AL) in a 4A Area 4 game, on Tuesday, April 1. Bullock County will attempt to improve on its 0-13 season record. The Gamecocks go into the game with a 8-8 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Eufaula (Eufaula, AL).
