The Central Academy Cougars baseball squad (Monroe, NC), was edged 8-7 in Friday's league contest with the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC)

With the triumph, Piedmont moves its record to 3-8 on the season. The Panthers host Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to confront the Yellow Jackets in a Rocky River 2A/3A contest on Tuesday, April 1. The Yellow Jackets come into the contest with a record of 5-7. Forest Hills lost 12-0 in their recent league contest against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)

The Cougars now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anson for a Rocky River 2A/3A contest on Tuesday, April 1. Central Academy will confront a Bearcats squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-11.
