The Portal Panthers baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Claxton Tigers to 0 in the Panthers league win on Friday.

The Panthers now hold a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jenkins County for a A D2 Region 3 test on Tuesday, April 1. Portal will play a War Eagles team coming off a 5-3 league loss to Metter (Metter, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 4-12.

With the defeat, Claxton drops to 2-13 on the year. The Tigers host Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a A D2 Region 3 test on Tuesday, April 1. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 15-5. Emanuel County Institute won 9-6 in their recent league test against Screven County (Sylvania, GA)
