The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA) and the host Thomasville Bulldogs (Thomasville, GA), saw Fitzgerald's baseball team get by Thomasville by a tally of 6-5.

The Purple Hurricane (12-9) will now prepare for their battle against Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Raiders enter the A D1 Region 1 battle with a 7-10 record. In their last battle, Bacon County was tipped by Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA), 7-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) in a A D1 Region 1 battle, on Tuesday, April 1. Thomasville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Herons enter the battle with a 3-17 record after their 6-3 league loss to Worth County (Sylvester, GA).
