Texas High School Baseball - McCollum edges Jay

March 28, 2025: San Antonio, TX 78227

The McCollum Cowboys baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Jay Mustangs to 7 in the Cowboys league win on Friday.

The Cowboys now own a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they host Southside for a 5A Region IV District 28 test on Tuesday, April 1. McCollum will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-9.

With the defeat, Jay drops to 4-9 on the year. The Mustangs host Southwest (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Dragons in a 5A Region IV District 28 test on Wednesday, April 2. The Dragons go into the test with a record of 11-4. Southwest lost 12-3 in their recent non-league test against Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX)
