The McLane Highlanders baseball squad (Fresno, CA), was overwhelmed 8-1 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Torres Toros (Madera, CA)

The Toros now own a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Hoover for a North Yosemite challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Torres will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 7-1 league win over Sunnyside (Fresno, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-6.

With the defeat, McLane drops to 6-8 on the year. The Highlanders host Roosevelt (Fresno, CA) to clash with the Rough Riders in a North Yosemite challenge on Tuesday, April 1. The Rough Riders go into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Roosevelt lost 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Madera South (Madera, CA)
