Texas High School Baseball - Mission Veterans Memorial edges Nixon

The Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Nixon Mustangs to 3 in the Patriots league win on Friday.

The Patriots now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they host Palmview for a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, April 1. Mission Veterans Memorial will clash with a Lobos team coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Rowe (McAllen, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 10-6.

With the defeat, Nixon drops to 3-11 on the year. The Mustangs host Martin (Laredo, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, April 1. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 11-5. Martin won 3-1 in their recent league test against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX)
