North Carolina High School Baseball - Starmount edges Mount Airy

March 28, 2025: Boonville, NC 27011

The Starmount Rams baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears to 2 in the Rams league win on Friday.

The Rams now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Elkin for a Northwest 1A test on Tuesday, April 1. Starmount will clash with a Buckin' Elks team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Buckin' Elks record now stands at 3-10.

With the defeat, Mount Airy drops to 3-9 on the year. The Granite bears travel to North Stokes (Danbury, NC) to battle the Vikings in a Northwest 1A match on Tuesday, April 1. The Vikings come into the match with a record of 10-5. North Stokes lost 4-2 in their recent non-league match against Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC)
