California High School Baseball - Santa Monica held off by Royal

March 28, 2025: Santa Monica, CA 90405

Royal Highlanders (Simi Valley, CA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Santa Monica Vikings (Santa Monica, CA), 5-3 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Royal advances its record to 12-1 on the season. The Highlanders travel to El Segundo (El Segundo, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, March 29. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 10-2. El Segundo won 7-1 in their recent league match against South (Torrance, CA)

The Vikings now have a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hawthorne for a Ocean match on Tuesday, April 1. Santa Monica will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 19-2 league loss to Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-7.
