In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Tharptown Wildcats baseball team scored a nice 18-7 win over the Waterloo Cougars.
The Wildcats (1-7) will now prepare for their game against Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 11-13 record. In their last game, Colbert Heights was overwhelmed by Colbert County (Leighton, AL), 9-7, in a league game.
Next, the Cougars play the Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, AL) in a 1A Area 16 game, on Monday, March 31. Waterloo will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record.
