Fans at Friday's league battle between the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) and the visiting White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC), saw West Carteret's soccer squad knock off White Oak by a count of 2-0.

The Patriots (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates enter the Coastal 3A battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Swansboro by Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) in a Coastal 3A battle, on Tuesday, April 1. White Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 7-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC).
