North Carolina High School Baseball - Alexander Central defeats Hibriten

March 28, 2025: Lenoir, NC 28645

The Alexander Central Cougars baseball team scored 16 runs and held the host Hibriten Panthers to 8 in the Cougars league win on Friday.

The Cougars now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Freedom for a test on Tuesday, April 1. Alexander Central will play a Patriots team coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-5.

With the defeat, Hibriten drops to 3-5 on the year. The Panthers host South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 1. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 9-2. South Caldwell won 12-0 in their recent non-league test against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)
