The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) and the host Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY), saw Russell County's baseball team beat Southwestern by a margin of 6-0.

The Lakers (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Boyle County (Danville, KY). The Rebels enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record.

Next, the Warriors face the Pulaski County Maroons (Somerset, KY) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 29. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record.
