The Carroll County Cavaliers softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Bassett Bengals to 3 in the Cavaliers non-league win on Friday.
The Cavaliers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pulaski County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. Carroll County will confront a Cougars team coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to Halifax County (South Boston, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
In their next game, the Bengals battle the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 31. Bassett will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Cougars go into the match with a 4-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Chatham (Chatham, VA).
