In Friday's league match, the visiting China Spring Cougars softball team scored a nice 11-1 win over the La Vega Pirates.

The Cougars (13-7) will now prepare for their match against Lorena (Lorena, TX). The Leopards come into the 4A Region III District 23 match with a 13-5 record. In their last match, Lorena notched a victory over Gatesville (Gatesville, TX), 5-4, in a league match.

In their next game, the Pirates confront the Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) in a 4A Region III District 23 match, on Tuesday, April 1. La Vega will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record. The Cadets come into the match with a 1-13 record after their 26-1 league loss to Robinson (Robinson, TX).
