The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV) and the visiting Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), observed Winfield's softball team get by Hoover by a tally of 2-1.

The Generals (4-0) will now prepare for their bout against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, Johnson Central tipped Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY), 15-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Huskies clash with the Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 29. Hoover will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 8-4 league loss to Independence (Coal City, WV).
